The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t shy about propping up their new “9 to 85” connection.
Thank the 2020 NFL draft for the revival. First pick Joe Burrow will wear No. 9 and No. 33 pick Tee Higgins has the go-ahead to wear No. 85.
It’s a fun callback to the past connection between Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson. Higgins, seemingly viewed as a first-round prospect by the Bengals, got Chad’s blessing to wear the number and even had another Bengals legend like T.J. Houshmandzadeh endorse him directly to the team before the draft.
