The Steelers are on a 6 game winning streak, but if they’re planning on making that a 7 game winning streak they’ll need to have all hands on deck when they play the Bengals in Cincinnati this coming Monday night leading into Week 13.
As the Steelers got back to the practice field for their first “official” practice this past Thursday which occurred a day later due to the Steelers playing on a Monday. However, there was a welcome face back on the field, and that was rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
JuJu missed the Steelers’ last game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 with a rough hamstring injury. However, he was able to be a full participant in Thursday’s practice. This is a good step towards his slow march back to the starting lineup, but as most people with hamstring injuries know, these injuries can be a bit tricky to work with.
Friday’s practice will be a big one for Smith-Schuster, but also for Ryan Shazier, Mike Mitchelland Vance McDonald, all of whom missed practice on Thursday. If they can get some of those players back, it would go a long way towards helping the Steelers sweep the Bengals in division play this regular season.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s progress in the upcoming weeks. Especially JuJu Smith-Schuster’s progress.
