The Seattle Seahawks will probably have to go along with Mike Davis as the lead running back through the remainder of the regular season.
Coach Pete Carroll met with reporters today and gave an update on the rookie back, Chris Carson. Carson began the season as the Seahawks starter before fracturing his leg and suffering an ankle injury. Carroll said that a setback was suffered, taking any hope of a late-season return and throwing it out the window.
Carroll said that the team won’t know more until Wednesday or later next week.
The Seahawks won’t be able to feel sorry for themselves. They are in the midst of a tight playoff race and will face off against the Jaguars this weekend before coming back to Seattle for a home game against the division-leading Rams. After that, the Seahawks will travel to Dallas before ending the regular season on the 31st against the Cardinals.
