Amari Cooper still might play vs. the Chiefs

There was hope that the Raiders would get wide receiver Amari Cooper back vs. the Chiefs this Sunday and that was thought to no longer be a possibility according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

A few hours later news broke that the coaches were preparing to play with Cooper but that he went to the trainers and expressed interest in giving it a go. He had a light practice and now the organization is holding out hope that their star receiver might be able to give it a go this weekend.

If true the Raiders passing game would have a huge advantage over a Chiefs secondary that is going to be playing without Marcus Peters. The team also got Michael Crabtree back from injury which is another huge boost.

Cooper had 11 receptions for over 200 yards the last time he suited up against the Chiefs and would possibly be in line for another big game. The Raiders receiver has also passed through concussion protocol which means it will be only his ankle that may prevent him from playing this Sunday.

Let’s hope that he is able to go so that the Raiders can get the win and take control of the division.
