Tom Brady was absent from practices on both Wednesday and Thursday as the New England Patriots prepare to face division rival Miami on Monday Night.
Brady, however, was back at practice on Friday, giving him two full practices (Friday, Saturday) to keep in the swing of things.
On Thursday evening, Brady confirmed that after missing two consecutive practices for the first time all season, he would be back on Friday.

“We play on Monday night so I’m getting a little extra treatment and I’ll be ready to go tomorrow,” Brady said on Thursday night, via Mike Reiss of ESPN. “I’m excited to be back on the field with my teammates tomorrow.”

New England had listed Brady with an Achilles injury on Thursday’s injury report. It’s something that has caused Brady to miss three consecutive Wednesday practices. In a normal week, he misses Wednesday, practices limited on Thursday and Friday, then is good to go for the game on Sunday.

Because of the Monday Night schedule this week, however, he’ll be able to make up the missed Thursday practice with an extra day on Saturday. Even when Brady has been on the injury report, he has played phenomenally come game time. In the previous matchup with Miami, for example, he threw four touchdowns.

The Patriots and Dolphins will kickoff their Week 14 matchup down in Miami on Monday night starting at 8:30 p.m. ET.
