Julio Jones has been a star for the Falcons since he was drafted. This year he has come on late but has been dominating as of late and is regarded as one of the best, if not the best receiver in the NFL. The attention is warranted as he has already passed the 1,000-yard mark and still has a few game to build on his already productive season.
He already is the owner of a few NFL records and is now closing in on a record belonging to former Falcons receiver Roddy White. In Week 12 Jones had 253 receiving yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The game marked his 38th 100-yard receiving game and puts him one shy of the Falcons team record of 100-yard receiving games. White holds the team record with 39. One more game would give Jones the tie and two more would make him the sole owner of the team record.
White was a solid and productive receiver for the franchise. He played in Atlanta for 10 seasons and holds records for the most receptions, receiving TDs and six other franchise records.
