Desmond Trufant WILL PLAY vs the Saints on Thursday.

The Atlanta Falcons just got a huge boost this week on defense. Desmond Trufant who collided with a teammate in Week 12 and missed Sunday’s loss to the Vikings is now out of concussion protocol and set to return to the field. The hope is that he will be ready to go for Thursday’s game against the Saints.
Trufant’s return will hopefully bolster a secondary that will go up against the third-leading passer in Drew Brees. This week’s game is a must-win for the Falcons because of how the playoff seeding is working out. The Falcons will essentially have to win out if they hope to make the playoffs. The problem with that is in order to do some they will have to beat the Saints twice and will face only one team with a losing record which is the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.
