The Philadelphia Eagles have the best record in the NFL, and there are a lot of different reasons for that.
The main reason is their balance in a lot of different categories.
The Eagles are number two in points per game (31.4) and they are number four in yards per game (377.0). They are number twelve in scoring defense (they only allow 19.9 points per game). They are also 11th in yards allowed per game (315.9). On top of everything, they only allow 66.4 rushing yards per game which is number one in the league. They have also allowed the fewest carries in NFL history through nine games.
In time of possession, they are second (55.35 percent). They are second in third-down conversion percentage (46.83 percent), and first in fourth down conversion percentage (70 percent). Finally, they are second in scoring touchdowns in the red zone (72.41 percent).
All of this has made the Eagles the best in the NFL so far. They should have no problem coming out of the NFC if this continues.
