Dak Prescott had an okay game on Thursday night. Click here to find out why it was enough!
Alfred Morris ran all over his old team last night and probably made them regret letting him go. He had 127 yards on 27 carries and a touchdown.
The question is, will the Cowboys regret letting him go?
Morris is a free agent during the offseason, along with 13 other players. So, the Cowboys will have a big decision if Morris is thinking about playing the field.
Morris barely saw any action when Ezekiel Elliott was playing, but he was effective. He has also been an effective runner as Zeke has sat out. He’s averaged 5.4 yards per carry so far this season.
That being said, the Cowboys rarely spend big on free agents, and they certainly don’t spend big on running backs (definitely not backup running backs).
Most of the time, that is the smart way to go (even though it is frustrating). Just look at how the Tony Romo contract and the Dez Bryant contract have hurt the Cowboys.
So, should the Cowboys sign Alfred Morris to an extension?
