The Denver Broncos have had quite the up and down season. At one point they were considered division contenders before inconsistent quarterback play derailed all hopes of a productive year. General manager John Elway has received quite a bit of criticism for not focusing on the offensive line or quarterback position in the offseason.
Elway has decided to put a little more effort and attended the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl between Central Michigan and Wyoming. Wyoming’s quarterback Josh Allen is considered a first-round quarterback and is apparently on Elway’s radar.
Allen fits the mold of signal-caller that Elway likes. He’s tall and has a cannon of an arm. Allen also possesses athleticism and mobility.
His stats have not wowed anyone this year but his physical attributes can’t be ignored and are touted above those of Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, and others.
The Broncos need to address the quarterback position this offseason and Allen figures to be one of the many that Elway and the front office take a look at.
