Alabama has gotten the very short end of the stick so far this season when it comes to injuries in 2017. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.
The injury problems worsened on Saturday in the win over LSU. Early in the game, star defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick went down with a hamstring injury. The player continued through the pain, but it was clear that he wasn’t at full strength throughout the rest of the game.
However, as Alabama gears up for their road game on Saturday against Mississippi State, head coach Nick Saban says that Fitzpatrick will be ready as ever:
Saban on Minkah Fitzpatrick: “He’s done well in practice. He’s worked, he’s got his reps, so he’s going to be prepared to play in the game.”

Fitzpatrick is an irreplaceable part of the defense, so it’s vital that the Tide has him back on Saturday against the No. 16 Bulldogs.
Alabama will for sure have to play without linebackers Mack Wilson and Shaun Dion Hamilton who both went down with injuries against LSU. Hamilton has already been ruled out for the rest of the season.
