Alabama starting left guard Ross Pierschbacher left the game against Mississippi State with a high ankle sprain in a critical moment.

Senior JC Hassenauer stepped in immediately, filling the hole and providing an incredible performance to finish the game and help Bama get the W.

His fellow lineman took notice of the strong performance after the game:

“J.C. did an incredible job,” center Bradley Bozeman said. “You couldn’t really ask for better. He played as best as he could. He really stepped up. That’s what practice is for is to practice those situations to get to those games and come out and have no drop-off.

“We had no drop-off. He did a very good job for us.”
