The New York Yankees and Miami Marlins have agreed to a trade that would send reigning National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton to the Bronx! Sources confirmed this to the AP and ESPN today.
Stanton must still agree to the terms as stipulated by his no-trade clause, so the trade is not 100% official quite yet.
As part of the deal, Starlin Castro would head to the Marlins.
Stanton is owed $295 million over the next 10 years.
Stanton hit 59 home runs last year, which were the most in the majors since 2001, when Barry Bonds hit a record 73 and Sammy Sosa had 64.
